The painting process for iron core laminations mainly consists of five steps: material selection, cleaning, painting, drying, and inspection.

  1. First, iron core laminations with smooth surfaces and uniform thickness must be selected. Before painting, a cleaning treatment is essential to remove impurities such as oil and dust from the surface, ensuring strong adhesion of the paint film.

  2. Painting is the critical step. Automatic spray guns are used to evenly apply two layers: a primer and a topcoat. The primer serves as rust protection, while the topcoat enhances the wear resistance and appearance of the laminations.

  3. During the drying stage, the painted laminations are placed in an oven and baked at a specific temperature for a set period to cure the paint film.

  4. Finally, an inspection is conducted to check whether the paint film is uniform and free from defects such as bubbles or scratches. Qualified products are then packaged, completing the painting process.

  5. In the drying stage, temperature control is crucial, as excessively high or low temperatures will affect the quality of the paint film. Therefore, the oven temperature must be strictly controlled within the required process range and monitored regularly to ensure stability. Additionally, the drying time must be accurately controlled; too short a time may result in incomplete curing, while too long a time may cause energy waste or affect the physical properties of the laminations.

The inspection stage is vital for ensuring product quality. Inspectors must use specialized tools, such as magnifying glasses or microscopes, to carefully examine the paint film surface of each lamination to ensure there are no defects. Any issues found must be immediately reworked to ensure every product meets quality standards. Furthermore, relevant data—such as batch numbers, inspection dates, and results—should be recorded during the inspection process to facilitate subsequent quality tracking and improvement.
