From September 9th to 12th, 2025, the largest and most influential power electronics industry event in South America – the Brazil São Paulo International Electricity, Electronics and Automation Industry Exhibition (FIEE) – will be held at the São Paulo Exhibition Center. As a benchmark for the power electronics field in Latin America, this exhibition, themed "Technology-Driven, Green Transformation," will bring together nearly 500 leading global companies to comprehensively showcase cutting-edge achievements in the integrated development of power, electronics, automation, and new energy, deeply focusing on innovative opportunities and cooperation blueprints under the energy structure transformation in Brazil and South America.

I. Industry Event: The Core Hub of the South American Market

The biennial FIEE exhibition serves not only as a platform for technology release but also as a strategic springboard for global companies to expand into the Latin American market.

This year's exhibition is expected to attract over 55,000 professional visitors, including power company decision-makers, engineering contractors, system integrators, government representatives, and investment institutions, creating an efficient, resource-integrated international business ecosystem. As Brazil's largest trading partner in Asia, China's cooperation in electromechanical products and high-tech fields has deepened in recent years, and FIEE is becoming a key gateway for Chinese power electronics companies to "go south to South America."

II. Focusing on Energy Transition: Deep Integration of Power and New Energy

Currently, Brazil is accelerating the reform of its energy system: the government is promoting the liberalization of the power market, establishing independent regulatory agencies, and encouraging private capital investment in power generation and distribution; at the same time, to address climate change and the challenges of hydropower volatility, Brazil has set a target of **over 50% renewable energy by 2030**, and is vigorously promoting the construction of photovoltaic power, energy storage, and smart grids. Against this backdrop, FIEE 2025 has significantly strengthened its new energy and energy storage section, focusing on showcasing:

● Integrated photovoltaic + energy storage solutions: Off-grid systems suitable for urban power grid peak shaving and power supply in remote areas;

● Commercial and industrial energy storage systems and flow battery technology: Meeting the needs of industrial users for stable power supply and electricity price arbitrage;

● Smart microgrids and AI energy management platforms: Achieving efficient dispatch and optimized operation of distributed energy;

● Green hydrogen production equipment and industrial decarbonization applications: Exploring deep substitution pathways for electricity in energy-intensive industries such as steel and chemicals.

Meanwhile, the exhibition has added a dedicated green energy policy matching zone, inviting the Brazilian Ministry of Energy, Eletrobras, and other institutions to interpret the "Green Energy Plan" and the "Amazon Region Renewable Energy Plan" on-site, release bidding projects, and provide financing matching services to assist international companies in participating in local project construction.

III. Comprehensive Coverage of the Entire Industry Chain: Six Core Exhibition Areas Outline the Industry Landscape

The FIEE exhibition covers the entire power electronics industry chain, with six professional exhibition areas, comprehensively presenting technological evolution and cross-industry integration trends:

1. Electronic Components Area

Semiconductors, sensors, connectors, PCBs, passive components, battery materials, etc., showcasing the critical role of basic components in high-reliability power systems.

2. Power Plant and Transmission and Distribution Equipment Area

Substation equipment, transmission and distribution engineering products, intelligent circuit breakers, relay protection devices, power grid automation systems, UPS and generator sets, reflecting the latest progress in intelligent power grid upgrades.

3. High and Low Voltage Electrical Appliances and Intelligent Control Area

Transformers, current transformers, inverters, soft starters, intelligent switchgear, focusing on energy efficiency improvement and equipment reliability.

4. Industrial Automation and System Control Area

PLCs, DCSs, industrial robots, laser and fiber optic technology, nanomaterial applications, driving the power system towards digitalization and unmanned operation and maintenance.

5. Digital and Smart Energy Area

Smart meters, IoT sensors, 5G communication modules, energy data platforms, building a digital foundation for coordinated "source-grid-load-storage" systems. 6. Lighting and Energy-Saving Technology Zone

LED lighting systems, building electrical energy-saving solutions, and solar lighting equipment, responding to the needs of urban low-carbon development.

IV. Diverse Activities for Empowerment: Emphasizing Knowledge Sharing and Collaborative Exchange

A series of high-level forums and technical activities will be held during the exhibition, creating a three-in-one platform of "exhibition + exchange + cooperation":

● "South American Power Transformation Summit": Discussing power market liberalization reforms, energy storage business models, and grid resilience improvement;

● "China-Brazil Power Cooperation Roundtable Meeting": Promoting cooperation between Chinese companies and Brazilian local manufacturers in technology transfer and joint ventures;

● "Power Electronics Innovation Technology Release Conference":  Showcasing the latest patented products and solutions from around the world;

● "Young Engineers Technical Workshop": Organized by ABINEE, cultivating the next generation of industry talent.

In addition, many exhibiting companies will set up interactive experience zones and practical demonstration platforms, allowing visitors to intuitively experience the application effects of scenarios such as smart grid dispatching, energy storage system charging and discharging management, and integrated photovoltaic agriculture.

V. Exhibition Value: A Golden Opportunity to Expand into the South American Market

For Chinese companies, participating in FIEE 2025 has multiple strategic implications:

● Market Entry Window: The Brazilian power market accounts for 60% of South America, radiating to neighboring countries such as Argentina, Chile, and Colombia;

● Policy Dividend Capture: Seizing the policy direction of Brazil to promote a local content rate of no less than 40% for equipment, and planning for local production or technology licensing;

● Accelerated Brand Internationalization: Enhancing international visibility through high-exposure exhibitions and establishing a regional agency network;

● Supply Chain Integration Opportunities: Addressing Brazil's technological shortcomings in areas such as smart meters and energy storage batteries, and exporting mature Chinese solutions.

Conclusion:

The FIEE 2025 exhibition in São Paulo, Brazil, is not only a feast of technology for BOM Electronics, but also a dialogue with the times. As the world moves towards carbon neutrality, South America is becoming a new frontier for energy transformation. When the precision of power electronics and the surging power of new energy converge here, a reconstruction of future energy is quietly unfolding in São Paulo. This is not only a significant opportunity for Chinese companies to "go global," but also a shared responsibility for the global industry to work together to build a sustainable future.

Seizing the opportunity at FIEE means seizing the future of energy in South America.
